BSA Scout Troop 42 Berkeley
BSA Scout Troop 42 Berkeley
Troop 42 is a group of female and non-binary youth grades 6th through 12th who have fun together learning new skills and enjoying the outdoors. Our activities have included camping, hiking, rafting, paddle-boarding, snow camping, skiing, backpacking, sleep away camp, high adventure trips, biking, community service, and more! 42troop.sm@gmail.com
Troop 42 camps together on a regular basis. We’ve spent the night in historic Fort Ross, gone rafting at Camp Lotus, earned merit badges over the summer at Camp Wolfeboro and Camp Wente, and trekked in Philmont.
Troop 42 plans a lot of hikes and other outdoor outings throughout the year. In addition, they plan occasional special events, such as seeing a Broadway show in San Francisco.
Community service is a key component of the Scouting program. Troop 42 participates in a variety of service projects, including conservation, grocery distribution, coastal clean-up and volunteering to support Scout eagle projects.
